Exhibiting at the Milan Village Arts School

Directions:Corner of Washington Ave. & Third St. Behind City Hall on Main Street.

Artist Biography:
You will find me at the Milan Village Arts School, which is where I began my passion for silversmithing with classes begun here some 14 years ago. I will be demonstrating my silver techniques in the silversmithing room, the classroom where I teach and where hundreds of students have discovered the adventure of working with sterling silver in our silver program. I teach weaving of Fine Silver, a method used for centuries dating back to the Vikings—called Viking Knit. Creating chain-link jewelry is a favorite among my work and each class produces new patterns and designs in bracelets and earrings.

I spend my winters in Arizona where I participate in an exceptional silver program with seasoned artisans. There I mainly do fabrication of metal, casting with the Lost Wax Technique, and the setting of precious and semi-precious stones. I constantly strive to expand the scope of my jewelry work and with new products and advanced classes, I bring new designs to Meander. This year, Argentium Silver, the NEW sterling that is tarnish-resistant will be a focus of what you will see at the Arts School. I look forward to seeing you there.
