I was born in Benson Minnesota and graduated from Benson High School. I attended college at UW Stout in Menomonie Wisconsin majoring in Interior Design. Through this program I acquired strong design skills with a creative art background. After graduating from college I married John Connolly and we reside in Danvers Minnesota. We have two children in college, one daughter still living at home, plus our dog and cat.

I have always kept my creative eye focused designing and building our home, sewing and quilting and the making of fine crafts. I have assisted numerous clients with their plans to build or remodel their homes. In 1991 I had the opportunity to take watercolor lessons from Nancy A. Olson of Glenwood and that experience started my career in visual arts. I have taken workshops from many accomplished artists such as: Grace Haverty, Raleigh Kinney, Jerry Korte, Bridget Austin, Roy Swanson, Joyce Gow, Merilyn Hughes, Gretchen Farnberg and Steve Henning. I work mainly in watercolor and pastel and enjoy the color, line and texture that both offer. I am active in the Glacial Ridge Art club and have had numerous awards at juried shows.
