Exhibiting at business studio Shades of the Past Directions: 211 SE 1st Ave. - East Hwy 23, located along SE side of Hwy 23 Artist Biography: Darci grew up on a dairy farm along the Minnesota River. Before her sewing and design career she worked as a medical secretary. While growing up she was fond of nature and the beautiful countryside, which can be found in her designs today. She started sewing cloth dolls following the birth of her daughter (now partner in the quilt shop) in 1988 and sold them at various craft shows and shops. In 2002 she opened Shades of the Past Quilt Shop and has since furthered her quilting and pattern designing talents. She is married and also has a son. She plays piano and is very active with the music in her church. She enjoys strolling through the country, spending time with family and friends, music, and sunsets.
