This year’s featured artist is Kerry Kolke-Bonk. When asked what inspired her 2011 Meander feature artwork, she had this to say:
“What goes around - comes around.
This title has a three fold meaning, the first being of course the revolving blades of the windmill. Then with the addition of the two modern wind turbines... it is saying many things come back around to be used at a later time. The third idea was that the white coneflowers will also reseed themselves and will come around again, with new plants.
The Meander is so much fun. It’s a great time to visit with all the people enjoying the unique art, the interesting artists and the beautiful scenery of our area. I have lived in or near Appleton for almost 35 years, so I am glad others get to see what we have to offer.”
